Medical Stylet Manufacturing

Modern Grinding is capable of manufacturing a wide range of medical stylets. The word stylet can have a variety of different meanings. The most common of which is a wire run through a catheter, needle or cannula to render it stiff or to remove debris from its lumen. In the medical industry, stylet is defined as a probe used in surgery. We have built twisted wire stylets and precision ground core wire stylets. The materials that we most commonly use are stainless steel and nitinol but we have worked with a variety of other materials.
